Ali Basden

Ali’s Physie career began in 2004 when she was invited to class by a school friend who needed numbers for her team. She was only meant to do Physie for that year so that the team could hit the floor, but she loved it and hasn’t stopped since! Ali began her Physie teaching career 4 years ago and has found the opportunity to empower girls and women in her community very rewarding. She completed a Bachelor of Medical Sciences in 2016 and now works as a Sales Rep, but loves taking time away from the office to jet set around the world!

When not working as a Paramedic Charlotte spends her time relaxing at the beach and trying to kick goals on the footy field.

She loves the challenges that physie brings and finds that dance gives her a focus and freedom of expression that she can’t find anywhere else. Erin has participated in numerous teams throughout her physie career, making lasting friendships and multiple achievements, once walking away as the overall Cup winning team, Championship grade. She has been a Junior National Finalist numerous times and in 2017 in her Senior debut on the Opera House floor she placed 4th rewarding years of commitment, dedication and practice. Teaching for Erin is a way of giving back to a sport that she loves and a natural expression of her creativity. Along with her physie talents, she also brings her experience with other forms of dance including jazz, ballet, contemporary and pointe. Erin hopes that being part of the OakHill teaching team she will be able to impart onto others a love of this sport whilst being able to develop their skills, guide them through challenges and lead them to success and new friendships.
